a reasonable price to ask for oscar as i will be selling him in march/april. He is rising 5 13hh broken this summer, hacking out walk, trot and canter, just started schooling, he is a very quick learner and very kind temperament, has never kicked or bitten. his sire is Ardenhall missoni. good to shoe, bath etc.
Never sold a horse before so i might be way off but i was thinking £1500-2000. any opinions welcome. thanks x

What schooling level are you hoping to have him at by the time you sell him? If he had gone out to a couple of shows, dressage and was popping over some little fences and was a sensible childs ride then I'd say about £2000.

Oh, and I'd wait to April/May to sell if you can. That's when the market is best in my experience.
 
hmm he is def a childs ride, so as galaxy23 says if he had been out and about a bit but id say more towards the 1500 end, maybe 1700...? I think 2000 if he has done a fair bit and is starting to work correctly... jumping a course etc etc, also how is he hacking out... is he safe? what about loading? (This is just from my experience of selling ponies, however i last sold a pony 2 yrs ago but i know that prices are getting silly) Are you going to buy another to bring on?
 
Ive taken him out in gale force wind and rain, he is the same whether he is ridden everyday or once a week, on his own or in company. if something is scary i walk him up to it and once he has sniffed it and realised it's not going to eat him he is fine!! he is fine to load but tends to get a little stressed although he has only travelled twice in 2 years so not surprising! he is good with cars, bikes etc and is quite happy to put his entire head in an empty feed bag!! i think he is turning out to be a really genuine pony so the right home will be more important than price so just wanted some guesstimates! Thanks guys!
 
He's a really nice-looking pony and sounds like a good-natured sort - echo what others have said about getting him out to a few shows to get the price up a bit.

I don't know enough about pony prices to be much help on that, but really good, safe children's ponies are jolly hard to find, so if you can bring him on so that he is a suitable 1st pony, you could probably ask quite a lot.

I wouldn't use that photo to advertise him, though, cos the huge numnah makes him look short-necked, which I'm sure he isn't, and hides his shoulder!
