OK which rug

Im off to get a rug for my boy, its got to be warm and come with a full neck.
Do i go for horseware or weatherBeeta???
Its got to have a full neck im looking at a detatchable one really as he probably wont be needing neck cover again for a few years. Horseware do a good duo rug with a nice 300gm under rug or the WeatherBeeta TAKA contour rug combo or the Orican

Another Horseware fan here, and I have both makes. I much prefer Horseware, especially the Amigo ones.

what shape is your horse? TB type or more cobby??

if he's tb, or otherwise narrowish then i would go for WB, if he's more cobby then i would suggest the horseware rugs.
i have an IDx who has a HW Horseware rambo supreme and loves it. I can't even get my sisters TB's rug (same size and both full neck) round his shoulders!

Horseware, the Weatherbeeta TAKA Combo rubbed my mares loins bald in 3days (exactly the same time it took for me to order a Rambo - will never have another Weatherbeeta).

As jencash said - what shape is your horse?

My WB has quite deep and broad shoulders and I find Weatherbeetas are a perfect bit. He now has a lightweight, medium and heavyweight Weatherbeeta and a stable under rug too

I like the Horeware i must admit but they dont seem to do a heaveyweight with a seperate neck cover

The HW Rambo Supreme has a detachable neck.

Mine is a warmblood and most of his rugs are WB as they are deeper. Don't see where Horseware (although great rugs) can justify the extra cost?

Horseware definatly. Fits fab and is the best protection i find.

I've had both Horsewear & Weatherbeetas and like both. I thik the Horsewear rugs are probably better quality but Weatherbeetas are easier to find in the right size as my local saddler used to seem to have supply problems - probably due to high demand!

Rambo all the way. My experience (with only one horse) is that the Weatherbeeta slips back but that was a high neck.
