Ok- who has the oldest dog?

I was just wondering- of those that have oldies, how old? Mine is 16 and still going strong, I hope she still has a good few yesrs in her yet!

My oldest is my 15 year old whippet x greyhound, she just had a dental last week, no problems under the anaesthetic, and she is fit as a fiddle

Eight weeks ago i lost my 17 year old border Collie.He was pretty fit right up untill the end.

Its nice to hear that oldies are thriving. I have this silly idea that mine will never start to show her age- stupid I know! She is a x breed though so I think they tend to outlive pedegrees!

We had a rescue Yorkie (came with papers so we knew his exact age) who lived to 19, he was not the tiny pocket variety though but a real working type. A friend had a standard daschund who lived to 22!!! And then he did not die from natural causes but was run over by a delivery truck on the yard. Have had Borzoi who lived to excess of 14 yrs, and friends Borzoi who have lived to 15 / 16 yrs, even one still going at 17.

Ben 16years with hip displacia nearly lost him a few weeks ago but doing well now.

i thought my boy was worrying about my boy getting old a few days ago and he is 9 so i feel a bit better since i have seen this post lol.

There was a picture on the forum the other day of someone's amazingly young looking 19 year old springer. Perhaps it is him?

I have a very active 11 year old collie x retriever, but he's just a spring chicken compared to the last two, a 17 year old collie x and a 19 year old beagle! He runs around with the 6 month old flatcoat who has given him a new lease of life!
