I am in the Southend area of Essex, and wondered if you could tell me what DIY/Part Livery yard your at, how much it is, and what the facilities are like? You can PM me if you prefer.

I would go Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, and even Hullbridge way if its a good yard. Just basic facilities, such as all year turnout, good stabling, menage and hacking. Anything else is a bonus!!

OK! RS is selling up... And after a chat with my instructor last night, she has said if I really want a certain coloured mare, then now is the time to put in an offer!! Also, you'll see my other post about back people, well the said coloured mare is suffering from a bad back (mostly due to bad saddle and novicey riders), and my instructor said before I put in an offer, get a back person out to check her over, and to advise if the problem is fixable.

If I do this, I need to go on DIY first as money is tight at the moment!!
It is all pie in the sky at the moment though...
 
Yes. The saddler said her bad back is due to the "novice riders banging about" (as he put it) so hopefully, with a bit of physio, a well fitted saddle and little ol' me on top, it shouldn't cause any more problems.

I just want to get prices and maybe view some local yards etc, to show to my OH, as he may need a bit of conviencing first, before I speak to YO.

I really want this... no I really need this!! :)
