This snow is getting everyone down and I know its an absolute pain but...

a) WE CAN SLEDGE, MAKE SNOWMEN AND HAVE SNOWBALL FIGHTS!
b) We only get it occasionally so lets take use of it!
c) We can get some great pics

d) Some of us are getting time of school or work.
e) Its an excuse to not go round to members of the family you really dont want to

f) And personally I love the icicles and listening to the snow crunch when you step on it...
Please add your own!

It just so much better than the MUD!

But I keep my horses at home, the yard is 1 min from my house, I have been able to get the horses out for at least a couple of hours everyday and the hosepipe reaches from my kitchen to the yard

There is no mud - no mud - no mud - hahaha! (Mad witchy laugh)

* all the ironing is done - keeps you warm!
* house has never been so clean - nothing else to do.
* all tack clean - no where to ride.
* paperwork almost up to date - better save some for next week.
* no point in starting diet - comfort food keeps you warm and happy.
* no point in clipping - doesn't that hair get everywhere.
* saves money on diesel - can't go anywhere.

Am lucky too as horses are at home.

horses and rugs are cleaner from rolling round in snow.
homework is done better because there are less distractions outside.
horses are kept amused by digging through snow to grass, also making them work for food!
vaseline is proving a worthwhile existence by being used to stop snow balling up feet (i normally can't stand the stuff - but it does work!)
you and your horse burn more calories having to move round more in the cold, but you feel good about it!
more of an excuse to come here on HHO!
that's all i can think of so far..!

I'm also lucky to have the horses at home, but the biggest plus for me is that those dreaded white socks that I seem to spend my whole life washing, are actually clean at the moment!!!

(I really am that sad!)

The horses feet look like they have been polished they are so clean and shiny.
The ponies are all clean and super fluffy and look very cute.
Theres no rain or mud!

The views on the drive (ok, controlled skid

) into work are just stunning!

I got a day off work this week, and I didn't have to take it as holiday as I thought I would

I have been sledging!

and i discovered today that it's a perfect time to back youngsters or work with difficult ones (as long as no shoes and a nice non-icy field to ride in of course) because if you fall off, you've got a wonderful soft landing :-) yay!

Scooby's feathers are CLEAN!!!1!!one!

As others have said: excuse to eat comfort food (chicken soup, mmmmm); NO MUD; everything is pretty and wonderful!

I am so moving to the Artic.

Ditto Ditchjumper. House never been so clean. Tack spotless. Cooking and baking constantly so will soon need a weight carrier. Mind you everyone in our village bonkers as buying up the contents of the co-op and almost mugging the delivery drivers. Nothing on the shelves, no meat, no bread, no milk so will have to stoop cooking soon as will have run out of food unless I get to the shop for 8am before they sell out of everything. ha

The best thing for me is that there is no mud!

Also they are nice and clean all the time and it's a great excuse to feed warm feeds which smell delicious.

It's also great fun to ride in
