okay, farily big show on sunday, were more a showjumping/dressage pair than showing. aiming to do a riding club horse class and something like riding horse as this is something new and fun to us want to give it my all!

so for him, its black tack all over (cant do much bout that now), black numnah and girth.
bridle is more dressage than showing but hey ho. also he probably works more in a dressage outline than showing outline, should i move him on a bit more?

for me, i have a hacking jacket or black show jacket, tho its more a 'showjumping than showing jacket' but presume most will be wearing these than hacking jackets for the type of classes im doing. is white stock okay or should i buy a tie? if so what colour? and my breeches are med to darkish beige but more comp breeches so have a full seat. should i grab a pair of canary/light beige ones? and do i need a show stick or is my normal whip okay (prob not, its a bat!0

thank you- sorry for all the questions!!

I think that the answer to all your questions is that what you have will be absolutely fine!! The only thing I would say would be to use a numnah not a saddle cloth, and possibly a show cane. Other than that your clothes and his tack are fine - just make sure that you are both as clean and tidy as possible. Also I would wear your show jacket with a tie - have you a PC one? I just use a small polka dot tie in red which looks smart with a dark jacket.

Good luck! You'll be fine!

Hacking jacket for Riding Horse & Riding Club Horse classes. Are you a pony clubber? Pony club tie not really ideal for showing, just borrow a tie from a man you know, one that goes with your hacking jacket.

Or from a charity shop ;)

Don't forget hair tied up neatly (bun if long enough) and in a hairnet.
