Okay so we have had most famous... now which horse off HHO would you most like to own

Wow this has taken a nose dive ! Wasn't supposed to create tension more a fun type thread. As usual it's gone downhill :(

Leviathan, why have you decided to turn this thread sour? I don't read some of what you write because it often doesn't make sense and that isn't down to your literacy skills.

I like to hear from people who are either funny, upbeat or people who have interesting things to share. You're always on a downer - and complaining

Now now come on stop dissing and get back to the horses. :)

If there is another horse I would have that is Armas, he is a beauty.

Erm, that was you... You were the one bitching and whining. Oh and I saw the thread you deleted that said I was 'always on your back'. We had one cross word months ago. You need to stop exaggerating.

And as for the idea that it was my interpretation of your post that made it sour... Nope - your posts are sour.

Well said :)

Yes!! thats the one :)

Thanks cob&onion...I am eagerly awaiting to see how your boy turns out, I think he's going to be quite the little cracker!

I've been lucky enough to ride FrodoBeutlin's Frodo & Rauti and can safely say I'd take both of them home!!

Other than that I'd love to sit on Chunks, and Jups (I forget their usernames, possible Ferdinase514 or MadHector?)

Trying to get the thread back on track ...

Seeing as no one has mentioned her, I guess I'll have to keep my girly Ethel!

I want grottie dottie, she's a beaut :)

I don't know everyone's horse we should have a thread and try to get everyone to either describe or put a picture up of their ned. A non judgemental thing ( pfft as if that would happen ;) ) right I'm back off into the sun !

Just because I have a wishlist of other horses doesn't mean mine aren't top of that list :) of course Ginger is my absolute favourite, but if I could fill a hypothetical yard with horses from HHO, the ones I've mentioned are those that would fill my spare stables :) I'm absolutely convinced that there are many more stunning/trustworthy/talented horses owned by HHO members, but of course to an extent I remember those I've seen more frequently and feel I know more about. Once that interest is there, I'm more likely to read another thread about that horse as I love to see progression or hear the next developments. It's not necessarily about liking people/horses more, it's just what sticks in my fish-like memory.

Caol Ila, I'd be interested :) currently unable to ride and therefore my horsie life is a bit by proxy at the mo :(!

Back on track - I forgot Donovan earlier too - what a little cutie.

I know I'm probably waay too late, but I'd love to steal JFTD's Fergs, he's fab!

She's way too small for me, but redmone's Dolly is gorgeous too, if I was smaller I'd love her too. ;)

This thread took a turn. But why people get fussed either I don't know. I post mostly from my phone and am not clever enough to add pics. But I probably wouldn't anyway. I love my 5 but doubt anyone would feel the same. Really not a life changer. I post and wallow on about them on FB because easier to do pics and it's my page. I do enjoy lots of HHO horses. I mention Kal because I'm more familar with him and he's gorgeous and good at what he does. His mom is really cool too. I'm also familar with the gorgeous Marty, Ned, and Dee. I see them on FB. But it's not just them as horses. I enjoy the owners and their stories and histories. But I hate leaving people out because I'm not as familiar with them.

One thing almost all our horses have in common is how they make us feel and what a big part of our lives they are.

It's a mystery to me too.

It's just a light-hearted fun and enjoyable thread. Nothing at all contentious I wouldn't have thought. Why anyone has to come in sniping and making bitter remarks and start making daft claims about cliques etc I don't know. :(

If you don't like these sort of threads, why not just avoid them? It's clear in the title what it's about.

Of course everyone really loves their own horses best, but it wouldn't be much fun if we all just put that ours were the "best"! ;):D

Thanks to all who said they'd want Hovis (aka the Bucket Destroyer). You might change your mind pretty darn quick!
I love so many of yours but probably couldnt ride one side of most of them. I love Dinger, Stinky, Farra and Gorgeous George probably the most.

There's always one  I wouldn't swap my 3 for the world... But I'd certainly add to them if someone offered me CS on a plate ;)

It is a pretty accurate indication I who posts most photos, either of a super-talented/trained horse (fig, CS, Frodo etc) or of a 'normal' horse with a bit of character (ned, dolly, fergs). Of course it is. Why would anyone expect a rarely mentioned horse to come up - nobody would know who you meant! That doesn't make it a cliquey or unentertaining thread!

I dont understand why it went t*ts up either

You can only make a decision of what horse you like based on what you know. The most popular here are horses that have threads which mention them regularly so of course we know more about them than the others. It doesnt mean that other people dont have nice horses but if all we hear of them is a line here or there in passing of course we are unlilkey to remember them and I dont know why someone may be upset that we dont!

As an aside I didnt know you had three horses JFTD.... I'm missing one

Exactly - nobody's mentioned either of my other two on here. Do you see me having a tantrum? (Well, no, because it's t'internet and you can't see me stamping my feet or hear me screaming from the other side of a laptop!) :D

Apologies for the iminent thread diversion.

I presume you know Daemon, my 3 and half year old highland... Who had his first canter under saddle on Saturday (though he's technically not being ridden again till next year)...

So the one you'll be missing is my old lad, Jasper, who is in his early 20s, mostly retired other than light work/hacking. He's the sort of psycho who thinks it's fun to bounce through spreads (I measured this, there is less than 4ft between the front and back rails  )

But he was an absolute legend when he was younger :D

Here endeth the lesson in horses what I have owned

Well all I can say is that you are all a bunch of bar stewards :D Poor GrayMo is crying in his box about the fact that no body likes him! *said with tongue firmly in cheek*

In an ideal world I would add Dinger to my string but that's purely because he is a stunning horse and I like pretty things!

I wouldn't trade any of my lot for the world - for the most part ;)

Ah you remembered Oshk! I sold him last year :( I was getting too old and boring for him so he now has the most wonderful hedgehopping home and they absolutely love eachother. Here's the dude, god I miss him!

I wouldn't have the slightest clue where to start with Oshk...jumping and hunting  but you did look like you just had SO MUCH fun with him, a proper dude, I used to enjoy reading your posts about him :)

I know he was SO much fun, he took me all over the place and I really didn't want to sell him but he just didn't get on with Lincolnshire's idea of hunting and I think he would have killed us both trying to figure out the sensible-yet-very-fast way to jump a dyke!!! His new owner is like the 18 year old version of me so his teamchasing career and his hedge jumping does continue, I do miss him though, as much as I love the Joseph horse he just doesn't have that fifth leg!
