My old springer (nearly 14) has started showing signs of colitus, which is mucus in the poos!! sorry, I know its gross!! anyone got any good remedies or ideas of tablets I could give him to help stop this?

Possibly a change of diet, maybe to an easy to digest kibble like Wellbeloved lamb and rice. First of all I would speak to your vet though.

When one of my lads developed colitis we found that feeding him Wafcol Salmon & Potato worked wonders!

See your vet first. My 8 y.o. GSD got colitis in the summer quite badly, but after vet gave a tummy settling injection we also changed her diet (over a week) to one for older dogs and she has been fine since. If you can get hold of some, canned pumpkin is very good to settle upset tummy in dogs. Don't know why but it does.

My 8 yr. old Jack Russell developed Colitis after steroids for a spine injury. She got worse after the usual chicken & rice diet..no wonder, it turns out that it was the rice which she developed an intolerance to. I've found that either Burns Pork & Potato, or Wafcol Salmon & Potato dried food has done the trick!!
