A thread that i looked at a few weeks ago has got me thinking. I would possiably be interested in finding a T/B stallion for future use on my fillies, the stallion that the thread was about was gery soveriegn, on looking at the pics of him i was pleasantly suprised at how similar his conformation was to my existing stallion and how well he would have complimented my stock.

Basically i'm open to suggestions on porspect stallions as am not at all up on T/B bloodlines, a good kind temperment has to be paramount.

He's beautiful, its a shame he didnt get to show his full potential as far as ability s concerned. Looks to have quite a bit of bone. Very handsome.

Hi
I think that SallyF on here, he is her boy. He does look lovely. I remember drooling over lots of pics of SallyF's youngstock for sale but can't find them now. There were some really nice youngsters by both her stallions out of various types of mares, just lovely.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments,
He is indeed my boy and i am very proud of what he has achieved with his foals to date .
I have every faith in the stock he produces and there future ability as he showed great talent before his accident.
It is his his genes as his mother had better tha average abilty and was tough and sound till the day she died.
Height wise he is every inch of 15.3 and certainly not a small horse ,he needs at least a 6ft 6 rug just to get the huge front end in.
To ride he felt as big as my 16.2 did .
Just so everyone can see some pictures of some of his stock i am putting a link to my photobucket album.
They are from very varied mares as he covers all sorts.

PS i hope you dont all think this is advertising but i am a very proud mummy and try not to post too many pictures.

In response to this and my post re breeding from my big hunter mare....what sort of offspring might I expect from breeding May with Lissy? sorry pics are a bit squiffy!

Cant really see the top pic as it's too small lol. I would think adding the TB influence to her would give you something a little bit more refined but still with a good bit of bone about it...sort of nice middleweight working hunter type.

What a shame stallion owners feel they have to apologise for educating us on what their horses are producing. I thought this was a breeding forum, which would include finding out about stallions & their offspring without trawling through loads of websites!

I agree magic, just because I own a stallion doesnt mean I cant help with advise. Indeed thanks to the insight from other stallion owners on this and other forums I have recomended other stallions to mare owners and I know that the knowledge is accurate.
By being open and objective breeding can move on and use alltypes to to produce what riders of all levels can enjoy.

I totally agree, the reason I use this forum is the wealth of knowledge and experience that come from the members and I have always had good advice. If I didnt want advice I wouldnt ask for it!!!
