Hi,
My pony had a splint on each of his front legs when I got him, the vet looked at them and said they were formed and they were not affecting the way he went etc so he passed a 5* vetting with just a note on them. The lady I bought him from said he had them when she bought him a year before and they had not caused him any trouble.
However I am sure one of them is getting much bigger - I think it has almost doubled in size and it now almost feels like 2 lumps joined together. He has not been lame or unsound on it, there is no heat or anything there - I just wondered whether I should be worried? Does this often happen to splints or should I get the vet out? My concern is that it could be cancerous if it has grown? (I am really hoping this is a silly concern)
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
