I’ve enjoyed watching the visits to the various yards. I noticed that many of the horses in training are in ‘a gadget’ to keep their heads down. A Harbridge? Is this a recent trend?

Yes it is that type of thing although some yards use this style one with the rubber rings rather than the one with the elastic in which apparently is named something different!

I think it mostly depends on the yard and the horse - I’ve noticed from the photos of Willie Mullins yard that some horses go in these whilst others are worked in the more traditional over the head bungee type (Lossiemouth for example).

But I do think this type has become a bit more common over the last few years.

Judging by your username Im assuming you've watched the Paul Webber one with Francesca schooling? One of the best of these type of YouTubes I've ever seen, loved it!

A coincidence as I’ve had that user name for a few years. Francesca looked good in the saddle though, didn’t she

She looked really good, because she's so glam (as is Meg N) you sometimes forget they are from racing families and grew up on horses. Francesca came across as really lovely too and can obviously ride well, that line of fences she did was fantastic footage.
