the problem is that they ARE hard economic times, and there are so many nice horses available who are happy hacks. And 98% of these horses are younger and healthier. There are so few people who will be willing to take on a horse with the added cost of medication. The horse also looks like it might have other medical issues with its eyes etc. It's great that you would be willing to take on a horse like this, and I wish there were more like you!. But the reality is that most horses in this condition end up in worse and worse homes, and end up hanging around meatman yards, or else being shipped abroad for slaughter, and thats a horrible end for any loved family pet.
