My horse suffered some sort of injury before I got him.

I’m not really bothered about it and neither is he (doesn’t affect him). I still bought him because he was sensible and something like what I wanted to get my confidence back after buying a horse who was sold as suitable but far from it!

Anyways, he has scars on his leg looks like he had quite a bad accident with a fence or something. On his back leg he has hair loss so am going to get some of that stuff cant remember what its called to promote new hair growth, but on one of his font legs where he had cut his leg and the people who had him at the time did not bother to look after the wound a lump has developed scar tissue I think.

I don’t know what to do about it for the best. I’m not a showy person but think both of us would enjoy a trip to a local low key show but was wondering if there is any point me taking him if the judges see the scarred lump on his leg.

Would it be worth trying to get the lump taken off?

Any ideas appreciated

I suppose if your not bothered about it and it doesn't affect him then I'd leave it alone. Also depends what you want to do at the local shows. My horse was badley scarred from a stable fire, I asked one of the judges at a local show about working hunter and show hunter and they said they ignore the scar probably it would only maybe come into play if two were tying and they went down to nitty gritty. Just enjoy
