old mac boots

You can use the boots over shoes, but they only really recommend them for like this for travelling. I have used them with barefoot horses and they do offer great protection.

they are brill...I use them all the time...I would make sure you get the sock which goes inside the boot as this protects any rubbing around the heels...
I do not use them with shoes on.

see abby has to hav shoes on because she is very very very lame without. i didn't think it would work with shoes on but i thought i better check

I think you are best to ask your farrier about putting pads on under shoes. Old Macs are ideal for barefoot horses, but must fit properly and aren't cheap. If Abby needs to have shoes, pads would be your best bet. Sounds like she has typical TB feet

You must not use them with shoes for riding out. Only for travelling.

They are good, my girl had them for almost a year when her feet got too bad to shoe. You don't get your clip clop when you are out though!!! more of a thump thump LOL

yeh jaylen, she has very typical tb feet, her soles are very close to the ground, and her feet are super flat i feel bad when she gets her ouchy moments on stoney ground

yeh i had planned to get pads put in espec for rideout season. it was just when someone had mentioned them in my other post, i couldn't fathem how it would work with shoes on lol!!

Have a look at Boa boots. I think you may be able to use these with shoes (I didn't; horse was barefoot).
They're pretty good and I preferred the look of them to the Old Macs.
