Old Mac boots

Hi
Can anyone come up with some ideas for me. I have a few but am open to suggestions. My horse needs to wear old Mac boots for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately he has scar tissue on the bulb of his heel. I have tried covering it with cotton wool secured with duct tape to stop it rubbing. Anyone with anymore ideas. Thanks

Put a nappy on under the boot - it should fasten above the heels, alternatively some vetwrap would do the job.

My boy wears mens sport socks under his old macs.

I haven't had a problem with the boots rubbing at all and have always used the socks (didn't get on with the pastern wraps that came with them!)
