Hi,

My horse has an old over reach scar, vet said he had it about 5 years before I bought him. Now its gone soft and almost like mud fever (but isnt mud fever).

Anyone else had this problem and what did you do? What did you use?

I dont mind him staying in a few days, but would like to put him out a few too and want to know what best to keep it dry and protected from the mud :D

I am waiting for the vet to call me back about it also, any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

Mine has an old over reach scar actually and in this weather is gets a bit like that. I just clean it up and let it dry out and its usually fine. Its just one of those things at this time of year..

Thank you. Did you ever put vasaline or sudacream on it?

The vet said to keep it dry and as clean as possible :D

Yeah sometimes I'd put a bit of sudacrem on it but it may soften it and want it to dry out if you can.

Camrosa is really good if you want the hair to grow back.. in fact its amazing. Mines scar is never going to have hair growing back on it.. one of those things.
