Old pony saddles - what to do with them?

As title really, this weekend I decided to assess my rather large collection of old tack that doesn't fit either of my mares but which I am hanging on to "just in case". Amongst this collection I have two pony saddles which I can't imagine I'm ever going to use again as if I get a pony below 14.2hh again I would go for a native which would most likely be too wide for either of these saddles.

So, what do you all do with your old saddles? It seems a massive waste for them just to sit in the tack room gathering cobwebs if anyone could use them....

Ebay them!
I sold some older saddles for my mum last year, I got the checked by the saddler and he said they were fine to use, so I sold them!

I'd rather donate them somewhere if I could - they both need a bit of tlc and I wouldn't feel comfortable Ebaying them, but thanks for the suggestion :)

Are they too good to take apart? I have a couple of old saddles (one leather, one synthetic) which I have patially 'dissected' as a teaching aid when teaching pony clubs and BHS clients. Your local Pony Club or similar might do the same with them?

I'd be very happy to donate one of them for that purpose, thanks - I'll see if any of the local pony clubs can use them......

I would donate them to a RDA riding school or a good riding school in your local area, I did this with both my pony's old saddles.

I am going to try and send mine to Aces High if they can take them to Cairo when they go later in the year, it would be worthwhile as even old tack must be better than they have at the moment, its just getting it there that may be difficult.
