What does everybody do with their rosettes at the end of the season?
Our house seems to be full of them (OMG this sounds like showing off!) because I've been competing for years and I'm determined to keep some of the memorable ones like the time I was placed at the royal, in a team chase etc
Now my husband is competing and cos we do western where you can go in lots of classes in one day (they're mostly pretty quick, we're not abusing the horse!) we can come back from a show with half a dozen between us.
Tried to be ruthless at the end of last year and only keep the 1st,2nd,3rds but there's still hundreds of them!
Any ideas?!

I posted about this recently and got a lot of good responses. When I move house in August Im intending to give a lot of them to charity. I will try and get you the link to my old post....

When I got my lorry, I started putting them round the inside of the cab, behind the seats, then that filled up, so now have them up on wall in the living....but have had lorry a while now and there are a fair few in there, and will be selling lorry at end of season! THey will have to go in the new trailer I guess, OH isn't keen on a wall display in the house for some reason!!

I keep the 1sts and 2nds as well as any special rossettes, at the end of the season i give the other rosettes to my local riders club, it saves them alot of money as changing the center of a rosette is cheaper then buying a whole new rosette.

I keep mine, I do not go to shows any more. The horse and I worked hard for them and it seems a shame to throw them out.

I read a post somwhere that, some one had put old rosettes on ebay and had made a decent amount of money and was rather pleasantly surpised!! just might be an idea better than chucking them out.

I replace the centre with a home made HAPPY BIRTHDAY disc, and give them to kids on there birthdays.

I used to put photos in the middle when I was a kid

I ebayed a lot of mine, got fairly good money too! Any I did keep, I bought the 't-shirt' display frames from Ikea, but the bridle hooks off them and arranged the rosettes into them, it's quite effective, they are contained and in my hallway!
