Does anyone know anything about these saddles? Its says "Holberg" but has no plate or stud markings. Under left flap is marked:

Quality "Olympic" Saddlery

Holberg

2135

Spring Seat

Made in England.

s4sugar. Thats what i was hoping. not much about holbergs online though and the one or two i have found have online have crosby stamps. Suppose it is possible the plate has been taken off. Will have a close look by stirrup bar later. Though I would guess they would not be able to stamp the saddle flap with the info if it wasnt a genuine one? Also the fact that the lady I got it from had it for years and the person before her, etc etc. It looks old but in very good condition really.

I had one of these saddles about 35 years ago, it was fantastic. The pommel was cut right back giving lots of clearance for my high withered horse. I thought I was the bees knees with it. Never seen one for years! Keep hold of it!

Yeah when I saw it i noticed it was cut right back. My boy is WB being mostly TB with some holstein and he has one hell of a wither (not upwards but lengthways) so it was ideal. Its a medium wide I think but he has a lot of filling out to do so I keep telling him he still needs to fit the saddle as I love it! Just need more of an opportunity to ride in it when hes fully broken!
