old saddles wanted

Hi everyone,

I know that old saddles are the kind of thing that people have lying about in sheds, taking up valuable space in their tack-rooms, and I'd gladly take them off their hands if they have no further use for them....... will collect any old, unwanted saddles in Essex or Cambridge (the nearer the Saffron Walden the better) or any that can make their way to London.

p.s. saddles are to be used in a design project just in case anyone was wondering!

Does that mean it doesn't matter if it's broken?

I have a saddle with a broken tree and I wouldn't like it to get sold on to an unsuspecting horse person (although it's fairly obvious it's broken). It looks fine from the outside.

don't worry a bit - if we take it it will not be used for riding or have anything to do with horses.

Shame, in the past I have chucked loads away, broken trees mainly that are not worth repairing or just plain kanackered!
Ask local riding schools, they are the main contributors to my collections of old and knackered saddles!
