With Oldencraig on the market and its future uncertain, can anyone advise me of any other livery yards in Surrey that have an indoor with a good surface?

All and any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks

There was a piece about the sale in Horse & Hound yesterday.

The owner was saying that he had spent £7.5 million on the place, but would take offers over £6 million! Ouch!

There are 89 heated and air-conditioned stables...(I'm sure that's not strictly true) and that he is pursuing property and building interests. (I heard a rumour that there was a cash crisis?)

He is also hoping that his wife can stay on running her business there???

There you have it. Strange interview!

I know of a nice dressage yard in Egham though don't know if this would be too far for you? PM me if interested :)

There's a stables in Egham? As in TW20 Egham? How did I not know this given I spent a year desperately trying to find somewhere horse related.

Hi teapot, well technically it's in Thorpe but sort of between the two. It is very well hidden! Are you looking for somewhere? This is predominantly a dressage yard though there are people there who showjump/event/ do other disciplines to (eg. me!)

Ahhh I see (was going to say there's naff all in Egham for humans, let alone horses). Not looking anymore - I was at uni up there and kept trying to find a share or something but alas doesn't matter any more :)

yes i thought it came across as a bit strange when i read it. although, having said that, if i had £6m to spend then i would probably want to keep the business running as a successful business- so if its working with his wife running it and livery etc as it is you might not necessarily change that much i wouldn't have thought...
