Older dog stiffness advice please

Hi all. My 14 year old staffie cross Bobby is in great shape for his age. Other than going grey he looks like a dog half his age. However, some days he's started to get stiff in his joints especially when he's been asleep.

People tell me you can buy products online which would help. Has anyone here my experience of using supplements etc successfully on their older dogs please? Thanks!
 
My 11 year old lab has yumove 360 advance only available from the vet, the normal yumove from Amazon had no effect.
She has it for elbow arthritis, when on it she has no stiffness or lameness, after about a week off it she gets stiff when getting up from a sleep. This goes after a week or so back on the yumove advance 360. I've tried taking her off it twice, both times this has happened, she's on it forever now!

Yumove seems to work well, my 15 year old has been taking it for the past three months and is happily bouncing around,up and down stairs without any problems. I’ve messaged you FIONA.
 
Another vote for Yumove 😀 we were expecting my old dog to be on Anti Inflams daily but once she started Yumove Advance she only needed them rarely.
 
This thread is getting a bit samey! Another vote for Yumove Advance 360!. Flexadin Advanced also works in the same way. Our Pet Insurance pays out on either as they're both prescription only. Yumove is also available over the counter but that version is not quite as effective (for my dogs anyway). I also give them Golden Paste (Turmeric) as that is an effective anti inflammatory. 🐾
 
oh dear me too. yumove advance has really helped my 13 yr old collie cross, have had to stop them for a little while as she has been ill and i didnt want her blocked up as it sometimes can cause her to be constipated, i normally counter this by giving her some meat with her kibble and that keeps her system ok. she is on chicken and rice at the moment as she is recovering (hopefully) from idiopathic vestibular syndrome and i dont want to challenge her digestion just yet...once she is backing eating normally i will go back to them
 
First thing you should do is go and see your vet as an older dog slowing up is worth a regular check up,
