Older Gfs (Fieldhouse) saddles

Can the trees be widened by a saddler in these? I don't mean the newer Gfs ones with the xch changeable gullets, but the older ones (eg Fieldhouse Pro Extra).

In theory yes I think so, they were built on traditional trees...but the older they are the higher risk the procedure is, so fitters may not want to do it. Perhaps contact the company?

Thanks sbloom, that's good. My fitter widened my last one which was a 16 yo Ideal, this one seems much more modern in design, so I would imagine there shouldn't be too much of an issue if that is required. The smaller, flatter tree seems to suit my mare much better, even with the atrophy issues but i'd like the fitter to check this.
