I borrowed an old GFS saddle for my horse when he lost topline and his Albion no longer fitted. Ive had it about 3 years now!. The owner doesn't even ride and isn't wanting it back but I would like a newer just a bit smarter looking one really. On Ebay it seems you can pick up a decent looking GFS saddle for very reasonable money.
Mines 17.5" Medium so would i be fairly safe in buying another of the same size off ebay and so without trying it?
A saddler has checked and approved the current fir of the one i have.

I have had a couple of the GFS saddles over the years and they all fitted the same horse, mine were the pro event model and I had an older dressage one that fitted fine, I have pmd you I may know someone who can help you.

I believe so depending on age and model, my older GFS pro event fits the same as friends newer (yr or two old) gfs pro event :) I know they did change the shape of the panels as most of the pro events are now VSD not GP but tree seems the same. My GFS adjustable doesn't fit the same as the pro event however but then they are diff models, hope that helps!

You need to speak to GFS, only they will be able to tell you what your saddle is, don't risk it, most saddle makers use a variety of trees for their models, and change them over the years sometimes too.
