I have a 16year old Welsh she fractured her hind splint bone from a kick in 2021 since then she’s had stress laminitis in her hind legs and diagnosed with hock arthritis June 2024. Has EMS her last bloods done in Feb 2026 insulin was 14 been medicated twice with arthimed last done end of May 2025 she has been tripping quite a lot and spooking at known items which isn’t like her I’ve had her since she was 2 so know her inside out! Vet checked eyes all ok watched trot up gait all good but she tripped twice said could be mild neurological problems and to have the neck xrayed incase of arthritis. Had neck X-rayed all fine put her on a bute trail was tripping worse! farrier has now commented on how she’s wearing her front shoes down more than her hinds vet is now saying the arthimed isn’t working and has suggested to use SMG has anyone used this on there EMS horses and had good success? She’s only a happy hacker and I’m literally so confused at what to do for the best
