going through my jods this weekend i realised id had a particular pair of cheap beige jods since 1987, theyve been in pretty hard use and have been boil washed by my mother countless times, but theyre still wearable...

whats the oldest item of riding wear you still use?

My ponies harness is from the 1800's as is my show whip, but in regular use not much of my stuff is very old!

I still have one of those strippy puffa jackets stuffed in my wardrobe that were fashionable in the 80's. I can never bring myself to throw it out because its in such good nick, but again I would'nt be seen dead wearing it.

I probably have other bits and bobs laying around, but this jacket springs to mind.

Pickles breastplate is 10 years old at least, person who owned him age 4/5 bought it. Its a lovely kate negus one

Funny, was talking about this earlier, saying I think I need a make over. My tweed jacket and long boots that I still compete in, I had when I was 15 to do my Pony Club B test in 1978
