one of my friend was so nervous she basiclly ran down the catwalk.. so he grabbed her linked arms and went down it with her!!

but met an eventing Idol and for once they werent riding which was cool!

I am quite pleased to read this! I have had mixed opinions about the man - I'm not always a fan of his riding style and I wasn't impressed at the way he barged past my friends and I at Gatcombe as he hurriedly walked the course.
BUT I can't help but admire him - he is talented and he did show a bit of humanity and emotion when he won Burghley.

Nice story to read.

Have had a mixed opinion I must say, but i am starting to think better things of him. I aksed him a question at Burghley, after an interview he did with Jonty Evans, I must say Oli gave a very long answer to my question, he needn't have but did really make an effort.

Was also impressed that he has registered on here. We can all be quick to knock somebody its nice to do the opposite and give praise sometimes.

Perhaps he is improving with age and experience!

I was really impressed with him at Burghley, not only with the way he interviewed, but with his riding (as at Badders.) He's improved every single time I see him ride, and I don't think I can say that about any other rider i've ever watched (and i'm the worst Armchair Critic in the world, obviously, but i do give credit where it's due.)

I definitely think he is, in both riding and the way he comes across to the public as a person, this is not the first time in the past couple of weeks that it's been mentioned on here either.

He's in it to win it and always has been - nothing wrong with that as long as you know what you're doing and he clearly does. I eavesdropped on a conversation one of his owners was having at an event last year and the guy was absolutely over the moon with the way he managed/cared for/rode his horses for him.

I think he's brilliant. Watched one of those 'switching disciplines' shows on H&C with him and his teaching was fantastic. I learned loads from it and reckon he'd be a brilliant instructor. I see he's doing a tour with Geoff Billington......I am trying to sort out travelling to it (nearest venue is 4hrs away).

The charity fashion show at kelmarsh was brilliant. Oli and ed were brilliant on the comentating, but then i suppose thats ed's full time job! I was up at Blair 3 day grooming for a friend a couple of weeks before the fashion show, oli and ed mentioned that they were looking forward to the pretty girls at the fashion show!
I just hope it raised enough money for the countryside alliance!

Oh and Lissi im not sure you were even there? a little confused :-S
