Oliver Townend video from "Indoor Eventing" last night at the Royal

Oliver Townend was 2nd last night at the indoor eventing at the Royal Horse Show in Toronto. He was riding a horse owned by Ian Roberts. It was a really fun class, but not as many people in the stands as usual, probably because of the H1N1 scare in Toronto.

What an honest horse, just kept turning and jumping, despite losing balance sometimes. Looked to be a bit hauled about to me!

That reminds me of Express Eventing in a much smaller arena. I liked the bank and the owl hole. I wonder if that is what the new EE version will turn out to be?

I don't think the horse looked to be being hauled around particularly, although I accept he did lose his backend a couple of times on the turns. Looked to be a problem with the surface rather than the rider. I've seen much worse in SJ jump offs!

i actually thought he rode really well, and unlucky for the pole down - what a lovely looking horse - and ollie is a legend!!
