I thought selling Ollie would be really tough due to his errm 'moments'. However by word of mouth, after 3 days he is sold already and will leave us this weekend. It has all happened so fast I am feeling numb. After 5 great years and some ups and downs we will part. I shall always miss him but I think it will be best for both him and I ;)

Onwards and upwards and all that, I am sure I will have some tears saying goodbye. however I always have my boys cute Welsh A Rosie to cuddle and fuss whilst waiting for Mr Fitzpatrick to arrive. She is looking a bit untidy after winter, I think I will smarten her up a bit this weekend after Ollie goes to his new home.

Ohhh my I am tearing up already :(
 
You are doing the best thing for both of you, you both need the right partner to get some fun out of life. Your new boy looks wonderful and I'm sure Oillie is going to a nice home. x
 
You know I think you have hit the nail on the head there. It will allow me some time to reflect and prepare for the change. Also it will build up HUGE excitement when Mr Fitzpatrick finally arrives with us.

I am very glad Ollie is going to a home with a tough showjumper who wont take his nonsense. He feels secure with that kind of rider and owner. Sadly with my crappy riding I am unable to show the no nonsense approach on top any longer without being ejected lol. I think he will have fun with this lady going to do things and seeing more than my yard and farm.
 
Hugs. I know how hard it is to sell a much loved but unsuitable horse.Just as well its quick really because its awful while it is hanging over you.Try and look forward to the newbie.He looks and sounds gorgeous.When is he arriving?
 
I am hoping 2-3 weeks but hubby thinks more like 3-4. John Parker are waiting to give a firm date, they are trying to build up some more horses for the Scandanavian run first.

On the plus side it will give me time to get the new boys teeth done in the UK before he leaves and also for all the new tack and rugs to arrive from my suppliers.

Parting with horses is always horrid but sometimes these things have to happen! :) You'll be fine! Spend the weeks preparing! Mr Fitz looks like a lovely fun horse! :)
