Have been looking forward to going to olympia all year. Looks like it may not be happening now :( I love the snow but I hate it when it stops me from going places.

Got a feeling that the roads are not going to be great to travel from Wales to London. :( So gutted about the possibility of not going be able to go. Drooling over my tickets.

After last years events of coming out in the evening, seeing london in snow and taking us 8 hours to get home is making me wonder.

Anyone else in the same perdicament?

Helen

Yup, met to be coming up from East Sussex tomorrow for the evening performance... I think I would get there (if I drove) as the roads are bad, but do able in a 4x4 if I left time, but the prospect of leving Olympia at 10ish and then having to battle home really doesnt sound appealing... so annoying, I was so looking forward to going...

Oh what a shame. I know it's great to go and watch it live but there is always another year. Sit at home and watch it on tv in the warmth and comfort of your own home.

i feel for the people that have qualified for the showing side of things and not got to olympia yet, how will they get there, is it tomorrow the vhs final is?

We are supposed to be going tomorrow from Colchester but I think that there is issues with the trains due to snow etc so not sure if we going :-(

We've got tickets for tomorrow afternoon travelling from Swindon in Wiltshire. I'm still planning on going, but will make a decision in the morning......

Im in london and have tickets for 2nite, cant get there, we are all snowed in. Such as shame, there was several of us going and really looking forward to it.

So glad that I went on Thursday in the end, I live just outside of London and there's about a foot of snow, no way i'd want to drive to London in that. Such a shame for all the people that can't go though :(

im not going but get the train if you can to paddington then the tube to olimpia as i doubt taxis and busses will be running regularly. if your watching the evening performance try and stay in a travel inn over night so your not travelling back on tubes late at night.

I went yesterday and it wasn't too bad,we went in 4x4's and although slippery under foot it was ok,today is a different story though, think we would of still got there but it would of taken longer. I only live 25 mins from Olympia though and do feel sorry for everyone who can't get there, such a waste of tickets.

I splashed out on more expensive tickets this year.. and havn't managed to get there, very upset. We left Southampton at 11.30 (for the evening show), spent 3 hours sat on the M3 going no where, took one look at the M25 and turned round. 6pm, just back in. Gutted. Tried to call the box office but no response, guessing everyone is trying the same.

I am mean't to be going on Mon eve and have been looking forward to it for ages. Not sure what to do, will wait and see on Monday morning I guess

Just to give you some forewarning, my OH went to London on the train today (mad I told him)
He got there fine, and no trains were delayed throughout the day, but when he got to Euston at about 5pm, the majority of trains were cancelled.
Please bare this in mind, wouldn't want any of you to be stranded.

Thanks, we were going to drive; do you lot think that's a bad idea?

I went this afternoon. I live only 10/15 mins away from Olympia so it was fine. The roads in London are now fine. Underground is running as normal and taxis fine. I got a taxi there and a tube back and by the time I left Olympia at 5, most of the snow on the roads had gone, it's just slush now. The side streets are still a bit snowy but that's it.
The man on the tannoy at Olmpia said all trains were running as normal and the main road routes into London were running ok.

Thanks Firewell, I feel a bit more hopeful now!

I know some people are missing the nps final on monday as they are snowed in, how gutted would you be, but personally id rather miss it than risk travelling a horse in these conditions

We were meant to be going today. It was my birthday last Saturday and we had jetlag from coming home from visiting family / wedding so we postponed all birthday celebrations til Olympia......I have cleaned my house, had my nails done (woopee) and am already ready for bed. Gutted. have not been for years and my poor OH feels so bad and keeps apologising and its not even her fault at all!!

We are supposed to be going tomorrow too. Possibly car or maybe train. Just waiting to hear from cousin who is snowed in and cant get home. She is near enough for me to go to collect her from where she is snowed in but her daughter would have to travel in the back of the defender! It is ok though as I have a dog guard! Just no seats LOL!

Hope we can get there too.
