Olympia - Andalusian show

We went Monday eve and we really enjoyed it. I was impressed with the one handed riding - very accurate and the horses were impeccably behaved. I loved the Garottcha (sp) and thought the horse looked very loose and through.

Went on Sat Eve which was sponsored by H & M, so H & M had lots of adverts showing on the TV screen thing & a few foreign people chattering about horses but I couldn't understand what they were saying. Odd gymnastic display at the start & I would rather have watched Army, police, Cossacks etc than the Andalucians.

Showjumping, dogs & shetlands were great & I liked the shopping, overall good show but it did lack christmas fun and atmosphere.

I didn't go but watched on red button. I was uncomfortable watching the Andalusian displays especially the individual display the horse looked covered in scars

Ah yes the stop and go signs... Odd.

Drinks prices - standard for London although Barbury set the standard this year with a half pint of Pimms at £9 so Olympia was reasonable in comparison.

Quote: my oh went to the loo after the interval and wasnt aloud to go to the loos that didnt have a queue as they when through the stands, then he got an ear full when he wanted to go back to his seat.:Quote

The ladies loo's I passed were very busy so I headed for the next set of loo's and as I entered an foreign orderly chappie pointed out that they were the mens...oops, so I asked if I could use the disabled loo instead? , he looked a little puzzled but said yes so in I went...past the men having a pee to the disabled loo!! Lol, welllll it was just a loo afterall!! (needs must?)

We went on Saturday night, loved jumping, doggies and Shetlands. Was bored by andies, trampolinists the Christmas finale was just terrible!
Not really a shopping person but I think they could have done with a bit better directions. We had members tickets and it took us an age to find!
All in all we really enjoyed it though, it's all about the show jumping for me.

Went on Friday night. The one thing I adored was the driving- never really seen it before but wow. Sj was livened up by john Whittaker taking chances otherwise not overly interesting. Didnt mind the Spanish horses but the one that did the individual display looked lame/not right on his off hind (could just be me tho) Quite enjoyed the finale! Didnt shop as no need and didnt fancy fighting through the crowds.
