Were going from Doncaster on Friday and the plan is to drive down in the morning park somewhere and then catch the tube in for about 1pm and then go to the shopping village followed by the evening performance. I'm not sure where would be best though any suggestions? Would it be better to try and get a parking ticket for there or will getting out afterwards be difficult? Any suggested good parking spots near tube stations???

I have nightmares about how long it used to take getting there and getting away in Christmas traffic when we drove.

I'll be getting the tube from work, then the overground train home (all of about 12 minutes :D).

To the poster going from Haywards Heath, we go overground all the way but change at Clapham Junction and possibly East Croyden as well, depending on your time of journey. It's only just over an hour though, I think quicker than using the tube :):)

Go down the A1 to Stanmore and get the tube from there - there is a car park next to the tube station:) you will get back in plenty of time so no worries about last tubes and then you are almost at the bottom of the A1 to get home:)

The last time I drove it was 2 years ago and the snow was chucking down as we left - the traffic was gridlocked(it would have been anyway as we went to the afternoon show so left at rush hour:eek:) and took nearly 8 hours to do what would normally be a 2 hour journey:rolleyes:

Going on Friday for the afternoon performance with my sister and niece! We will get the tube straight there, do a bit of shopping, have some lunch and sit down to watch the show (in our front row seats!) very excited! Was super ill last year and as we were so close to the arena the dust was making me choke! Ha! Have been on the vitamins in preparation so I can get through the show without coughing myself silly!!
