just looking at tickets but a little confused! Is it that the village with all the shops are free to look around and you just purchase tickets for the events in the main hall?

If you buy tickets to watch the show you can access the shopping village. If you only want to shop though you can buy tickets just for that.

Love Olympia :)

You should definitely get tickets for the Show, it is always so well done and full of atmosphere. Feel that if you only do the shops you will be disappointed

Shopping village is VERY expensive IMO. If you are going just to shop then somewhere like YHL would be better.
Friday is the best night to go to Olympia (puissance night)

i've been every year for about the last 12 years! except for last year when i was heavily pregnant and didn't want to risk the excitement!!

u can get just shopping tickets for about 8 quid, but its much more worth going for the show than the shopping IMHO :D

I've been twice now and am going again this year. The shopping is good but I'd recommend getting full tickets because the actual show part is brilliant too and it looks like there's a great line up this year too :)

Olympia is great - I worked there for a couple of years ("worked" in the mildest sense of the word - it was only in the event of any evacuation of the hall that I would have had to actually do any "work"). I had a pass to go anywhere at the event and watch any of the shows. It's great fun with a fantastic atmosphere. Well worth going to.

Me and pingpongpony go every year. Love it. Bring on puissance and bring on the shopping!

Eeeeeek! I'm so excited already :D
Yes, its definitely worth buying the ticket for the actual show as its always such a lovely atmosphere and the shows are great to watch. I've been to the Christmas cracker performance 2 years ago, last year we went to see the 6bar challenge, both of which i really enjoyed and thought were brilliant. This year we're going for the puissance night, i can't wait, i've seen it on tv but by the time we bought tickets the puissance was always sold out so this year we got them straight after they went on sale :D Even if you don't want to spend money and buy things, its a great show to watch and such a great christmassy atmosphere :) really worth going to :D

Been several times . . . it's lots of fun and really sets you up for Christmas. We get members tickets b/c from the members area you can watch the afternoon show (while quaffing champagne and nibbling yumminesses purchased from the shopping area) and THEN sit in the stands to catch the evening show . . . If you're going to go solely for the shopping don't bother . . . there aren't many bargains to be had. On the plus side, however, the riders often do book signings in the shopping area and you'll also see other international riders just wandering around/soaking up the atmosphere . . . my girls have been lucky enough to get autographs from several riders who were just walking around: William Fox-Pitt, John Whitaker, Gerco Schroder to name a few ;).
