Olympia on TV tonight

If the ****ing online stuff worked. My always have everything bang up to date on my laptop just I just get a green flickering screen on chrome and IE8..... ****ing bbc....

I don't pay for sky freeview, I'm not nearly posh enough! :D
 
Would have liked to have finished watching the end of the prize giving and the close of olympia and the bbc just turned it off. I give up, thought they could have broadcast for an extra 5mins or so
 
Ditto above, am not very impressed with the BBC supposedly showing the 'whole' of the evening's performance, then cutting it off before it ends. And watching online it was having trouble during the jumpoff for me. Was already annoyed at having to watch it online at all - not sure why people with Sky can watch it on the red button and people on freeview can't, seeing as we're all paying the same TV license for the BBC. Not very happy!

Totally agree. The prize givings are always fab, and tonight I think they were giving a couple of extra prizes as it is the final day.
Ahh well, its the BBC, that explains a lot of it :rolleyes: :(
 
Totally agree with the above. I'm quite lucky cause my brother subscribes to all the sky sports channels and pays! Luckily I therefore get to watch the horse sports. Last year sky sports broadcast the whole of olympia each evening and their coverage was brilliant. They showed absolutely everything from start to finish. They haven't done it this year unfortunately. Very disappointed with the end of the bbc's coverage tonight and would have liked to see the presentations and finale. Fancy showing it all and then not bothering with the end. Don't understand where they are coming from sometimes. However, suppose I am just glad to be able to have watched some of it and am aware that unfortunately a lot of other people haven't been able to. We all pay a licence fee and therefore its a real shame.

Actually it has nothing to do with paid for - the red button coverage was only available on satellite or cable methods

You can get freesat - which is free, or sky pay once watchforever, which is what is says

However I don't know why the BBC didn't broadcast it on freeview on 301,302 or 303. They had all 3 going for the olympics, so don't think it can be bandwidth
 
I watched it via the Red Button and Virgin cable (god bless 'em) but it sucked that it wasn't available on Free view red button (my son is not happy) but I guess a looping repeat of, what was it, CBeebies and Eastenders (or some similar cr$p) was more important :(.

I was furious though with the BBC not showing the WHOLE of the evening performance as they promised - I wanted to see the finale. They've got the ****** cameras and crew there, would it have been so difficult to show an extra 15 minutes??????
