Where is there to park around Olympia ?
I looked on the website and all the mention is parking at Olympia but I assume that will all be booked up by now

So what does everyone else do ?

If you are going in the evening there are some streets where you can park which are on opposite side of road from the arena and a bit further towards London. But it is much easier to use train/tube TBH. It is worth checking the Olympia car parking tho, sometimes they do have space...

Tried ringing the booking line but it was busy , shall try again before we sort things out for definate .

ETA - I looked at getting the train etc but I can't work it out

we booked parking the day before we went last year, it was £6...cant grumble at that! There were still spaces available the day before last years so i don't think it'l be booked up by now

How far away were you parked from Olympia ?
As atm its going to cost £40 for the day at the one the website suggests

I have no idea , I don't really know why I'm being trusted to sort it out .
Seeing as I've never been to London , can't drive or understand train times

ETA - Lady i'm going with offered to drive as she thought it was easiest

OK, I suggest you drive to Richmond, as its close to the M4 and park in one of the large car parks (Old Deer Car Park) and then toddle to the station and get on the train from there. Dont want Welsh people roaming London at night! :P is bad enough looking out for my mother x

What day are you going? Parking availability will vary according to what day and time you get there, but think PrittStick has best idea - drive to west London and catch a train or tube.

I always park at Watford Junction and the train takes you to the platform opposite the entrance - are you good at map reading? Watford is probably further north than you need to go but easy journey in.

When we went last year we drove to uxbridge and got the tube from there, but it was a 1.5 hour journey on the tube so by the time we got in the car etc it was late and was a long drive home, mum nearly crashed the car....

Personnally i would drive to somewhere near by on the outskirts and get the train or tube (from the west somewhere near reading - depending on train prices etc, not actual reading as thats expensive to park) - if we go this year thats what we will be doing, driving in central london is too much hassel, says the girl who drove to westminster by myself last year for work - NEVER AGAIN!
