As in title really I am travelling with 3 others to the Fri evening performance by train and tube but wondering if there are any black cabs nearby to get to take us to liverpool street as we don't really want to be taking the tube back home at night

Anyone who comes back with a HELPFULL answer can help themselves to *virtual* Chocolate gateau and cream

I've got the tube back from olyimpia. Loads of people do it (can get a bit packed acctually!) so really wouldn't worry. Can't remember if there are taxi's about though. It's not a very car friendly area

Yes im sure there is a taxi cab right by the arena main entrance. The whole area is in a busy part of town with good public transport links, the Kensington Olympia train station is literally a 2 minute walk away, so you wouldnt necesarily need to use the underground anyway.

We're getting the tube in from Buckhurst Hill (Central line), then back again later. We're leaving the car on a friend's drive who lives just up the road from the station. Come with us on the tube if you want to - it'll be packed though :-)

Or we could share your cab to L'pool Street, cut the cost down for you.

You'll be fine on the tube.

Black cabs wise, just got back from Olympia this evening. Walked all the way from Olympia to Kensington High Street tube station (3/4 of a mile) and no cabs.

I'd say that Kensington Olympia station is way less than 2 mins walk - it's directly across the road from the main entrance.

Tubes are fine..!

We have got a taxi before from there - but most of the cabs that arrive are pre booked. If you sneak out before the end its not too bad, but otherwise if you are rushing for a train I would book a black cab - takes about half hour to get to LS. Or PM irishdraftlover, she is going tonight and I think may get a cab back to LS so can tell you how easy it was (or not). Enjoy!

I have been told that there are taxi's around or it will be easy to catch one when we're walking but the last 3 years we have ended up walking all the way back to the hotel without 1 sighting of a taxi!

There is a black cab rank outside the main exit. But how easy it would be to actually get one after the perfoormance finishes I don't know.

The tube is safe - but horrible. Far too crowded and if you're carrying stuff it really is difficult. Personally we're driving rather than facing public transport - but maybe I'm a wuss.

If you want to avoid the queues for cabs, turn right out of Olympia, cross the road and turn left into the North End Road. Then you will get the cabs heading into town from Chelsea.

I'd be happy on the tube though too.
