Olympic tickets for sale this morning

OMG We've got 2 tickets for the dressage team finals and victory ceremony!!! I can't believe it.

We failed in all the previous applications to get anything, and I refused to apply for tickets to see women’s football:eek:!!! What a load of b*%!!*^$ the ticketing system was! We've wasted hours and hours trying to apply and use their faltering ticketing software, only to constantly be rejected.

Apart from now...finally :)

I feel terribly sorry for those who've still not been able to get any tickets. I think a huge percentage of tickets are being wasted on corporate and greedy people who originally applied and got tens of thousands of pounds worth, who couldn't care either way what they are watching.

I also think a large amount went to people who just wanted tickets for anything & didn't care what!!

Surely any tickets that became available should have been offered only to those who had been unsuccessful in getting tickets for that event in the first place.

Absolutley furious!!!!!!! Got my tickets for XC only for Verify by STUPID!!!! Visa to not process my card, consequently losing me my tickets!!!!!!!!!!
   and in case you hadn't realise I'm really

Am I understanding correctly in that you can only apply to get tickets today if you have previously been unsuccessful in your attempt to get tickets before?

Anyone who has registered/signed up since then is going to have to wait and see what is left on the 23rd of May when tickets go on general sale release?

Is/was there an allocation of tickets per participating countries? So if i'm living abroad might i be able to access tickets through national means or are all tickets only purchaseable through the Official Olympics website?

Totally with you smiffy.. I missed out on every ticket in the first round and the second round I prepared, got out of work, went to find wi-fi to buy tickets on my phone, at precisely 11am I refreshed the website, found tickets I wanted (Eventing - Cross Country) and added 2 to my basket, after jumping through hoops page after page I eventually got to the 'your tickets have been reserved for 4minutes 20 seconds' or whatever the number was so I clicked to pay using the card I had registered with them and it said something along the lines of 'card failed' THEN IT JUMPED ME RIGHT BACK TO THE BEGINNING AND MY 'RESERVED' TICKETS VANISHED! I quickly tried again to add them but after an hour of trying to just get one ticket they vanished off the website meaning presumably there were none left. I only wanted one ticket!! ONE! out of thousands and thousands! I was so upset I was nearly in tears with frustration!!

Yes, thats right. Those that applied first time round are getting priority now. I still didn;t get tickets today though so I doubt there will be any tickets on the 23rd for general sale - for xc at least. Very annoying.

I was so excited to get dressage tickets in the first sale of tickets ages ago but now I can't go :( never wanted to miss this for the world but can't afford the flights during olympic period :(

I was lucky enough to get tickets for the freestyle dressage at my 3rd attempt and I had to pay quite a lot for them as well.

It maybe that some of the corprates off load some of their tickets in the resale.

I know a few people that have equine tickets that have no interest in horses at all.

Just spoke to LOCG today as I have some tickets that I want to offload. Was advised that the next resell date has not been decided yet but that anyone with tickets should get an email once it has been decided. You should then be able to offer your tickets for resale - but not guaranteed they will sell. You can't 'pass' them off through any other route than the official one.

Happy as I got two tickets today for the Kur having failed to get any dressage tickets in previous applications.

I understood they could be passed on to friends, etc, so long as the person who orignally bought them is contactable on the day?? Are there really going to check id for 20,000 tickets on Cross Country day?

I'm absolutely desperate for tickets for eventing or dressage :-)
