Olympic tickets HOW much?!

Difference with Olympia is where ever you sit you have a decent seat as the arena is only a bit bigger than 20x60 anyway and £50 are the most expensive tickets (discounting hospitality) at Olympia.

If the greenwich arena will be like that at WEG (100x60m ish) then those at the far ends could easily be 50m away from the arena which would be why I would want 'the expensive' seats which would be the £175 and £275 ones for the kur. Hope i'm proved wrong and the cheaper seats have a better view but i'm a cynic at times ;)

And no I'm not one to pay stupid amounts for gig tickets etc either ;)

I WILL pay to go watch but I physically cannot afford to watch more than 1 or 2 days at a stretch at those prices, and the idea of going to see some other sports is somewhat shelved as well (other than the marathon/triathalon/road cycling which free! ;) ) as all the other associated costs will just make thing extoriante. I know its a once in a life time oppourtunity (hence why will def still go if can get tickets) but its a lot of money to spend and for a games where apparently the tickets are meant to be affordable for all. Lets hope the country has recovered some what more from the recession by then otherwise the stands will not be full at all. You only need to look at WEG where the stands were only partially filled due to the high ticket prices!

coloured fan and I went to the eventing in Hong Kong and it was fantastic, i will still be going to london, just better start saving!! Although i remember the tickets only being £20 or so for each day so a lot cheaper, but then we did fly half way across the world!!:)

I don't think £55 is actually that bad. XC day at Burghley/Badminton is about that if you include parking - I usually have to go on my own, so can't car share to limit the parking cost...

Standard footy matches seem to be more than that for 90 minutes (and there are several zillion of those to choose from, every day) if you want a popular team.

Would really like to go for XC day, 1 day of dressage, and SJ. Was a bit surprised how much the fencing tickets are on for - given the usual number of spectators at internationals in this country - eliminated competitors and that's it. That said, the finals of the Worlds in Paris are sold out, so there might be a demand from our neighbours...

Its about where I thought it would be tbh.
I'd definately like to go to XC day and the eventing SJ! But I'm 'lucky' (first time in a horse-related capacity this has been 'lucky') to live near London, so we could easily pop in and out on a daily basis. Got two spare rooms I could auction off on HHO? 5 min drive to mainline station - 29 mins into london?! Anyone?
