Wow, thats quite something. Watched a bit of the stuff here and they managed to keep it alight despite quite a bit of hassle.

It's out again and back on the bus!!!

it's impossible to keep politics and sport totally separate and awarding the games to China was always likely to lead to protests somewhere along the line - with or without Tibet

Ha ha I think thats great and the appalling individuals in China will be the one's that do know whats going on, the every day people have nothing to be ashamed of but the government certainly does and I think its great the world is telling them what we think of their politics and actions.

What a farce... When the International Olympic Committee voted for China to be the host country for the 2008 Olympics (8 years ago !!!) no one raised an eye brow and now all this fuss in London, then in Paris...Tomorrow in san Francisco ? What a joke

A bit late (and hypocritical

)for the western world to protest and to give lessons for the sake of democracy, human rights, etc...

The fact the committee made the decision does not divert from the fact that the average person may and does disagree with their human rights record and the fact that the Dalai Lhama had to move from his own country due to Chinese rule speaks realms, this is a man that the Chinese have called a violent terrorist however violence is against one of the ten precepts of Buddhism. So please bare in mind some of us have disagreed with the Olympics ever being rewarded to China!
