Thought I'd be helpful and post the olyimpcs TV listings from Your horse. Save people its extortionate price tag nowadays! Only bought it for the listings! But look! Its all on BBC! yay! Now i don't have to trapse to Bude to steal my grandparents sky sports!

I have 40 hours worth of space on my hard drive recorded (like sky plus but generic and only freeview) I think it'll be all used up!

Thanks for that. Interesting timings and I assume that a lot of it won't be live given that Hong Kong is 8 hours ahead of us - I'm assuming that medal ceremonies won't be at a quarter to midnight in HK . . . or will they?

who knows whats live or not, the main thing is its on! And alot of it is at a reasonable time. Thank god for my harddrive recorder for the late stuff!

So if it's all on the BBC will it be on iplayer? I don't have Sky+ and as much as I'd love call in sick for most of August, I'm not sure my boss would like the idea!!

There might be highlights on the iplayer but for there to be full coverage on there is asking a bit much, they've gota fit in the "popular" sports first. I think people will be scrabbling about for instruction manuals for various recording devices soon! That or now's the time to buy shares in currys!

They're showing it by live streaming on the bbc sport website like they did for Badminton/Wimbledon this year

I hate to say it, but you can't Sky+ BBCi. I even called and asked if there was a way round it but there isn't. Disaster.

you can (sometimes!)!!!! There are actually BBCi channel(s) which are recordable. On my freeview box I have it as channel 305. It just depends what main feed is on the channel at the time, ie horses or something else random!

eerr - all - I may be missing something here but at the bottom it suggest the team eventing jumping final is august the 4th but the first day of dressage is the 9th!!!!

Am I just being blonde - but I alwats thought jumping was the last phase!!!

I wondered if some of the events were late in the evening because of the concerns re the heat and humidity.

Not "reasonable times" if you're at work and can't record

Also on here too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympics/7493732.stm but the time for the first day of dressage is really odd - it says "2330-1540: Team and individual event dressage day 1" which is different to the Y.Horse list

You can record freeview/interactive - you just set your video to AV so it records what the picture is showing as it were. But you have to leave your tv on!

Not sure about Sky + though

The first day of dressage IS the 9th. There is no equestrian sport taking place on the 4th. That may be the start date of the Olympics proper as it were
