Olympics - Equestrian - who's applied for what?

XC as its the only one we can afford! I so hope we get the tickets as it's going to be amazing! Even if we don't I'm having an olympic party :p

The website appears to have fallen over, so guess we're not going anywhere:( My folks had a last minute rush of blood to the head but now we can't get the application through.

So much for there being no difference between applying on the first day, and the last day...

I think that's what they're doing (we're not in the same house, they just called to see if I was up for going - then couldn't get the site going!).:)

Fingers crossed, I wasn't bothered before, but now there was a chance I might have gone, I'll be gutted if we can't even apply.

ETA If I keep calling them for progress reports, I definitely won't be going cos they're going to shoot me :D

I tried earlier for hours too, kept not recognising my password! Bl**dy thing! So annoying!! Oh well, tv it is!!

I think its something like June 24th when you find out if got tickets although the payment gets taken after 10th may so you'll probably know before! We've applied for SJ final tickets, fingers crossed!!

It went through! We are in for some form of showjumping:)

They have now extended the deadline by one hour, so the folks are now going to try for athletics and gymnastics as well:) My brother, on the other hand, wants to see the ten pin bowling and is most insistent that it is an Olympic sport **facepalm**:o

Eventing dressage and SJ, and Freestyle dressage - hopefully will get something, the website took me 2 hours last night to get on to it and confirm my choice. Hope it was worth it.

SJ and Dressage Finals
Fingers crossed!!
Although I'll be on bread and water for a year if I actually get them :D

I wanted to go and watch the dressage but I imagined the £35 tickets the horses would be the size of mice from where I would be sitting?
So I went for x country tickets instead and tried for over an hour. My patience was rewarded finally at 11.30pm when my entry form was submitted.

Phew I was shaking by the time I'd filled that flippin form in for the ''thousanth'' time!!! :D

Applied for the cheapest tickets for everything bar the initial rounds of team dressage and sj. It will be instead of a holiday this year and next, and fortunatly we are close enough to get a cheap train in each day which will save us a fortune! Have no idea how popular different events might be, so not a clue if we are likely to get something or nothing, which is why we went a bit mad with the applications!! Would be so amazing to see some british medals go out!!!

I think money is taken from your account in May, then you are told what you have been sucessful in getting in June.

I applied for the XC tickets and my friend for the dressage finale. I know that we won't know what tickets we have till the 24th June.. so how on earth can they justify taking all the money before they know who has what tickets? I have gone back on the site and they take the money out between the 10th May and the 10th June. Great for working out your budgets for that month - not! I wanted to put it on my visa but I couldn't actually get the wretched thing signed in so had to revert to my bank visa card.

Did mine in the morning so that was fine..

Applied for two xc tickets. Couldn't afford anything else and couldn't justify the expense, but it would be fab to be able to get there on just one day.
