Olympics Ticket Prices

Blimey!!! I was expecting high,,,. but some of the showjumping prices are EXtraordinary!!!

I think I' ll be sticking to the telly then! - Less of a cattle crush feeling stretched out on a sofa!

Yikes, that is pricey. Do you think they will wind up with capacity crowds at those prices? I hope so, it would be such a shame otherwise. I know having it on home soil is pretty much a once in a lifetime occurence, but it is alot to pay esp if you have children who would like to go too. At least two years to be saving!!

I so hope this isn't another Windsor europeans where the stands were empty cos prices were so high. Nothing worse on home soil to have no-one watching our olympian equestrians and have the cameras panning empty seats again.

Blimey - I was thinking of saving up my ferry costs and going over to London for the SJ or XC (as I doubt I will see an olympic games in ireland in my lifetime) but those prices seriously put me off

I'll watch it on telly or follow it online instead I think

The only thing for those planning on watching the tv is that with all those other sports I doubt there will be much equestrian coverage. Especially bearing in mind how poor the WEG coverage was.

Although its expensive, for some seats its still cheaper than Olympia or HOYS. Its likely to be once in my lifetime so I am going to get tickets. I want to go to the eventing and the SJ, might squeeze in dressage depending on how much money I have left. I have to be there in person to cheer on the home side its the least we can do.

For months and months I've been saying that I WILL go for the opening ceremony, now seeing THAT, I think not!! (I knew it would be expensive, but thats far more than I even thought!!) I want to go for the XC though, and Iam looking forward to it. As for the rest, I will be another one glued to the telly!!

Didnt think ticket prices to bad. You can get £20 tickets in most sections. I want to see the dressage and showjumpng so will go for 2 days.

Got my accomodation sorted just hoping they laying on extra public transport etc.

I heard somewhere that public transport was included in ticket prices???? anyone else hears that, as that will save you a bit.

to be honest I thought it would be even more expensive than that, given some of the rumours i've heard. Hopefully will be able to go to the XC & SJ, better get saving though.

I have said all along I wanted to go to the x-country and I still will! But better start an Olympic savings fund!! add in travel to London etc it not going to be a cheap day out!!

I was expecting it to be more than that too, so i am definately going if i can get tickets for the xc! I just wonder if it will be possible to get hold of them.

i bet it will be pretty busy there!
