Has anyone else left it to the last minute to decide what to do about their Olympics tickets?! I've spent the last month having a debate in my head, I can only really afford one pair of (lowest price) tickets and I want to go and see the GP music, but I also don't particularly want to run the risk of not getting in at all. I really can't decide whether to risk not going and only apply for the one pair of tickets, or to also apply for team dressage tickets and risk ending up with too many as I can't afford to go on two days..! Any advice?!

Also, I'm nosey and want to know what you've all applied for :)

I've just applied for sj tickets, that's all I wanna see! If I don't get them, ull just watch on telly, I'm not really bothered about owt else!

I've already got two confirmed for the sj part of the 3-day! (benefits of actually working at Greenwich!) I also bid for three for each day of the 3day and three for the showjumping on the 8th! I can't wait! Every day I walk through the park and find new parts to the course!

I have applied for x country tickets, and my sil has done the same so we have taken the chance on having twice as many tickets as we will actually want. However, there will be a website set up to allow you to sell back or exchange unwanted tickets. Obviously the organisers are expecting people to apply for more tickets than they actually want and they don't want them being sold on through ebay.

We've applied for sj, dressage and eventing and have gone for pricey seats for the final day of the individual dressage...if we get them all it'll cost us over £1k, but were doing it instead of a holiday next year and it's a once in a lifetime thing!

If you are lucky enough to be allocated more than you actually want, you can resell them through the official website at face value from January 2012.

I've applied for the lowest price tickets in all the most popular events, not just equestrian, and my daughter has put in some applications too to increase our chances. We have friends coming from America who really want the chance to see something, so if I was to get everything I have applied for, we would be looking at several thousand pounds, which I have to put in my bank account next month just in case. However, realistically, if I get any tickets at all I will be surprised and very happy. I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations of what they will actually get once the ballot is drawn.

So yes, if I were you I'd take a chance and apply for both! If you're allocated the lowest price tickets you won't have trouble selling them, but you will have to wait until January.

I'm literally just about to put my order in for the xc day of the eventing for me and some friends. My mum has applied for one of the inexpensive SJ days and also for the freestyle dressage :D

I've applied for something on nearly every day. Not just equestrian but other sports too. Have also helped parents with their application too and they've done the same.

We know so many sporty people in general we'll be able to use most of the tickets.

Am slightly concerned about the cost of it all as won't be able to re sell any unwanted tickets til Jan but am just hoping that I get something. Really want to see the eventing and have also applied for dressage and SJ.

OH wants to see swimming and badminton and we both want to see althletics too.

We're going with the 'once in a lifetime' attitude but it's not going to be cheap esp with travel etc too.

We've applied for the cross country - but was amazed at the price differences my friends ticket will only be £16 as she is 60 mine will be £55! A little unfair I think especially she has big travel discount too.

I have applied for volunteering so my Mum has bid for the tickets and if I am successful in volunteering my Dad will go and watch! We went for cross country day and middle range show jumping tickets, 2 of each, thinking we shall make a little trip of it if we get both!

I'm so excited :D

The other way of looking at it of course, if you're undecided, is you have a second chance to buy people's unwanted tickets at face value from the official website in January.

Thanks all, and especially to Karran - thanks to those photos, I've just applied for the GP freestyle and the XC...! And am fully intending to go to both! Typical  :D

I've applied for 4 tickets for the team SJing and 4 for the individual! I imagine my luck will be i won't get any! Lol

I didnt realise you could do this! Thanks - I have so far applied for the final of the eventing, so not holding out much hope as expect to be popular but will see if i can get anything off this website if not...

Planning to go to Greenwich soon to check out the xc progress too!

I think there's at least one more jump up and ready to go!
These photos were taken in the autumn. I regularly bully the park gardeners to tell me the latest updates! You can follow the course roughly cavblacks as they've stuck little white markers in the ground!

I've bided for three for each day of eventing and two for jumping final. What with the two I have confirmed through work, it's close to £700 quid! OUCH!!
