Really would like to put our cob mare into foal next year. I really like the cob x warmbloods. I bought a welsh d x wb/tb last year and he is now starting his ridden career, however my mam has stolen him, she adores him and they're a good pair, so she has agreed to lend me her mare to breed my own, which suits me fine. I currently ride a forward going little cob x gelding (14.2), from the foal I am wanting something a little bit finer but not too fine as my welsh x has turned out very fine much more like a tb, the mare is very chunky so a warmblood should be a nice mix, and something a little taller than my gelding, again the mare is 15.1 so warmblood should add abit more height. We love the mare very much and would love nothing more than to have her offspring to live with us so we can always have a part of her! I live in Northumberland so was thinking Omarco, he is a nice height and stamp and a coloured so would be ideal, anyone used Omarco before?:D

I only know one properly, but have met a couple in passing (considered exporting one to the US for my wife, hence the research). Very pretty foals, but as adults the only one I know struggles to hold muscle, and starts losing form after just a couple of days in the field. As a result he looks a little immature compared to others of his age. AJ is also (unlike his dam, and other foals from his dam) a little lacking in bravery and needs a confident rider to bring out his best. His does have a lovely nature though, will do anything on the ground, and despite his size (17.2hh I'd guess?) is like a lamb.

Having said all that, he is a stallion I like (despite not being my usual sort) and earlier today found myself checking the possibility of getting some semen over. Personally, I wouldn't be putting him to a very heavy mare, because he already has a decent level of bone for his sort. Also, I think he'd do better on mares who already have nice refined heads, as his isn't particularly nice IMO.
