My weapon is a dog....

I don't normally go in for extra laws and rules - but really this is a great case for dog licensing...

Sometimes people cross the street to get away from me and Henry but only to avoid muddy wet spaniel hugs

i feel so sorry for these dogs i no people with pitbulls and pit xs and they are the nicest dogs ever in the wrong hands. his daughter goes in with the pups handling them and dog in question rolls for its belly scratching some people are sick.

Deed not breed

Any dog has the potential to be nasty it's just that some breeds are a bit more predisposed than others

I watched this programme on Iplayer and have to admit I found it massively frustrating because of this -

1. Staffies are EXCELLENT family pets, and incredibly good with children in most instances. They were definately being given an unfair representation in the programme.

2. None of the banned breeds of dogs are actually recognised as breeds in the UK & as such this means you get 2 things happening
- people making a fast buck by selling/breeding aggressive LOOKING dogs who are badly treated and as such aggressive
- police being able to claim that a dog of mixed breeding/unknown heritage is an illegal dog, even if this is not the case

They didn't put enough emphasis on how it's almost entirely conditioning that makes dogs aggressive. They didn't mention how important early socialisation & a confident and happy dog is to being a safe dog.

Really, really frustrated me.

The DJ really needs a taste of his own,and to say "it will never go for me so it's OK,you need to slap them about" is,well, ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I did love the young guy with the rottie though, poor sod was homeless and likely to stay that way because he wouldnt give up his dog who clearly loved the bones of him and had been trained well, just as it should be

He looked so happy when the KC guy said he was a good handler with a lovely dog!Was nice to see a positive about a rottie for once.

Watched this too, it was terrifying to see these idiots with these dogs which they had made aggressive etc.
At the end when the guy with the pitbull x said he would let his dog kill someone if it came down to it because he would get less jail time was just unbelievable. People with this mentality owning dogs is just scary.
God knows what would happen if one of those dogs slipped their collars when they were out walking.

it is ridiculous but thats there world and how they work there not bothered about goign to prison so they will use our slack laws to get out of prison asap. (not saying its right) with any dog the problem is at our end of the lead not the dogs.
