I walked past a mirror at home this afternoon and realised that I had a plait in my hair that wasn't there earlier.

I am worried that someone has stealthily plaited my hair to mark me so someone can come along later and steal me.

What do you think I should do? Should I report it to the police? I have told OH he has to be extra vigilant and to be aware that someone is going to try to steal me away at some point. I am sure I heard him mumble 'they are bl00dy welcome to you', but perhaps my ears decieved me.

Here is the plait, what do you think?:

Look out for men in white vans or any other colour vans, or any foreign looking people.

If anyone does try to steal you make sure they are rich and good looking - if they are do not put up too much of a fight:D

Think you should take precautions, paint your postcode over every single part of you, make sure your OH never leaves your side and padlock all entrances to your house, windows included :D

Thank you for this thread. It's rare that I do laugh out loud at the computer.

On a serious note, I just wanted to point out that when you write your postcode on your forehead, make sure you don't accidentally do 'mirror writing' if you're doing it in front of a mirror. You'd need the meat man to be able to read it in a hurry for it to be worth doing.

I appreciate the banter on this thread, but is a plait in the mane genuinely a method of marking a horse up? My horse came in with one last week.

SF - OP's looks like a wind plait, which may have been what your horse had. Long flowing manes (like OP's) can get blown in wind into a plait. My youngster gets them and it can take ages to teaze them out.

Op - I had similar tihng other day woke up with plait in hair (mind boggles on that one) but was okay turned it into nice ringlets :D :D :D
