After Senza dumping me at a 2'6 jump at home on Friday night and then napping and refusing point blank to go over it i didn't have much hope for the show at Golden Cross the next day, especially as i was jumping the 1m Derby!!
Anyway we got to the show and i walked the course and nearly pulled out!!! There were 3 water trays (one off of a dog leg turn) a triple, a related distance and a bank with one stride and then a jump coming off of it. Anyway my friend told me to stop being so stupid so i come to the terms that i was probably gonna get eliminated anyway so i should stop worrying.
Senza warmed up lovely!!! She was really jumping her socks off in the warm up and was clearing the jumps with feet to spare so this made me feel slightly better.
When it was our turn to jump i was nearly sick as i entered the ring. Anyway i need not of worried so much as she jumped a wicked clear round!!! I couldn't believe it, our first time in a jump off. Unfortunatly in the jump off we had 2 down but considering it had gone up to 1.05 and thats the biggest we have jumped i was well chuffed. You couldn't stop me beaming!!!
Anyway onto the BN which i really didn't care about by this time as i was so pleased with the Derby. Again she warmed up brilliantly and guess what . . . . ANOTHER CLEAR ROUND!!!!!
We waited for ages for the jump off due to people jumping in the other ring and i think we had given up hope by the time it was our turn. Anyway i decided to just take it steady as we had no studs and she had done so well already that i didn't wanna push her. And would you believe it ANOTHER CLEAR ROUND!!!! You dont know how happy i was, i really could of cried!!!!
Anyway we waited for the results just in case and WE CAME 5TH!!!!!
We won our first £15!!!!!!!
I have finally come to the conclusion that she just doesn't like jumping at home so now the summer is here i am going to get her out a few times a month and see what happens so for now my little super star is no longer for sale (but dont tell her that otherwise she might start jumping rubbish again LOL).
I brought a pic of her going over the water tray and her feet are touching her belly where she is tucking up so much and she is clearing with an extra foot easy. Every pic was the same but that was the best jump so had to have that one.
Anyway one very happy Kelly, not sure what has come over my mare but she has jumped like a pro the last couple of shows so something has obvioulsy started to click into place.
