I write a few articles for another website and in one of the articles (not written by me!) Endurance Riders were made light of in the "Sex in the Countryside" section.

A rather disgruntled reader has replied and set me a challenge, stating that I would not be up to the rigours of endurance riding! He has suggested a private match with an independent observer in the next couple of months.

Trouble is - my horses are fittest in winter for hunting but fat and sloppy in summer!

HELP - anyone want to pretend they are me?

I'd tell him to go off and challenge the person that did write it

Or meet up, then as he goes off in one direction - turn and vanish in the other

That is hillarious!

I am sure if you put out a help call on the forum some nice endurance rider would donate a very fit 'Arab steed' for the contest so that you could put him in his place while maintaining a soft, smooth derriere.

P.S. Tip picked up from a cowboy riding all day in western saddles, shove pieces of foam in you back pockets (in jeans) or just down your jods (just make sure you remove them the minute you dismount as you look a bit odd...)

Accept the challenge on the condition they will come out hunting

, then set the date for later in the year when Trixie is fit again (guess Lottie is out for this year as will be in foal).

Fingers crossed for Lottie - she went back to stud yesterday for a second attempt!
