OMG horse dribbling like crazy

Sorry for not logging on sooner to update you. Thanks for all your advice and concern.

The vet came out the following morning, as horse was eating and drinking as normal and had no temperature. Oddly enough when the vet did come he had completely stopped dribbling! Typical!! Anyway vet said if it was something stuck it had obviously passed through itself, and he hadn't and wasn't shwoing any signs of distress. The dentist is still coming out next week.

So glad he's fine.

My horse did this last summer, not choke, not teeth, no foreign objects. Was eating well and fairly bright in herself. We think she had an allergic reaction to something she ate in her field - when kept in she stopped drooling, when out she started again. We swapped fields and she was ok again. No idea what it was and no other horses reacted to anything in the field.

As spring is here, things may be growing in the field that your horse has snacked on and set it off? Or in the hay? Just an idea if it returns - my horse had 3 spells of it until we changed fields. Touch wood it has not returned since, but will keep a close eye out in the summer.
