Sorry i had to post this i rode my chestnut mare hari today after not being worked for over 6 weeks.

I plucked up the courage along with my riding instructor to ride her today

.

I was nearly physically sick with nerves really ill.

BUT i got on and oh my god she was so relaxed and didnt do anything stupid very calm and didnt have a care in the world.

The reason im so pleased i had a horse before her who bronked me off and trampled all over me and i broke my tail bone and lost some of my confidence and i thought hari would be the same but she is 9 and he was 5.

She was just a star and i am so proud of us both that i was crying.

Really i just can not describe it!!!

Well done you!

Its a great feeling when you expect them to be awful, and they behave like angels, isnt it

I hope thats helped boost your confidence a little now?

Nothing can beat that buzz, you'll be riding it for weeks and hopefully it'll go on and on the more you ride and the mroe confident you feel. If you're anything like me, nothing will bother you for ages cos you'll be so proud and happy

That's brill. I was nervous riding my loan horse out in fields as she's ex-endurance and extremely fast but recently I went on a pleasure ride/cross country training day and had no choice but to gallop her full blast up a big field and I loved it! And I'm so glad I did it as before I was nervous riding out with other people in case they went for a canter in the fields and was constantly making up excuses not to go and feeling horribly nervous when I did. Now I feel much better and I look forward to a good canter/gallop in the fields. The feeling is incredible, it does make you want to cry!
